“All of the CLCA carers I have met are always happy and always hard working – you can’t ask for any more than that really.”

Is there any better job than actively helping someone’s life to be better?

Eric Read, an experienced healthcare assistant at CLCA, thinks not – and after 27 years in the care industry, he knows what he’s talking about!

Eric joined the CLCA team in early 2017 and works with clients in the Mid Wales area, both within hospitals and at people’s homes.

He says: “I carry out personal care for clients, helping them with essential tasks like washing, whatever they need really.

“I have worked for a number of agencies during my time in the care industry and I have to say that CLCA is the most professional organisation I have worked for.

“Carers always have back-up from the management team, day or night, which is hugely reassuring and important.

“The communication is always clear and concise, and it’s the personal touch from managers that makes all the difference.”

Eric became a part-time carer during an earlier career in management and found he enjoyed it so much he made the leap to working as a carer full-time.

“The job satisfaction from caring is amazing,” he says. “At the end of the day, you are helping people and trying to make their life better, which is quite a privilege really.

“I have been really impressed with CLCA since joining the firm about six months ago.

“Everyone really does treat their patients with the utmost care and respect. All of the CLCA carers I have met are always happy and always hard working – you can’t ask for any more than that really.”
