Respite and Holiday Care

Everyone needs a break, we are there to help.

Our staff can maintain or establish support for adults, children and young people up to and including 24-hour live-in care for the following conditions and more:
  • Clients requiring home ventilation through invasive methods (including tracheostomy) and non-invasive methods.
  • Clients on home oxygen.
  • Clients with gastrostomy.
  • Clients with indwelling/suprapubic catheters.
  • Clients requiring passive movements therapy.
  • Clients on seizure management.

No matter how committed you are to the person you are caring for, sometimes people just need respite. This should never be seen as a weakness or a failure. It is entirely natural and at CLCA, we fully appreciate the hard-work and dedication needed in caring for someone. We are always on-hand to support you with short-term or emergency care with our dedicated team of nurses and carers.

Respite care refers to a temporary arrangement that encompasses all of CLCA Nursing’s homecare services. This allows caregivers the well-needed and deserved break or support whilst keeping the client in the comfort of their own own. We are proud to be marketed as a company that can potentially reduce hospital stays, eliminate hospital admissions and support relatives. The Company is based on enabling people to make their own choices and to be able to live their life comfortably at home independently.

Furthermore, as well as respite care, we are also able to offer our services to help when taking the person requiring care on holiday including overseas care. We understand how important quality of life is and being able to go away on holiday can contribute to this. Our staff will help with the potential strain and stress this can cause by providing expert care aligned with an existing care plan. CLCA can also produce a care package specific to the break/holiday to help safeguard against issues arising because of complex health conditions. Our sister company, CLCA Assistance, is able to provide a dedicated and fully trained flight medical crew that can accompany clients on overseas holidays or for treatment abroad.

We also assist with clients suffering from:

  • Strokes.
  • Head injuries.
  • Acute/Traumatic brain injuries.
  • Spinal Cord injuries.
  • Degenerative Spinal diseases.
  • Long-term mental health illnesses including Dementia and Alzheimer’s.
