At CLCA Nursing we are absolutely thrilled with our latest CQC inspection report in which we were rated ‘Outstanding’ overall for the first time, improving on our ‘Good’ rating awarded in 2017.
The company underwent a comprehensive inspection by the CQC in mid-January this year which looked at five key areas – safety, effectiveness, and whether the service provided was caring, well-led and responsive.
The result of the inspection was summarised as :
“The whole service had an exceptionally strong person-centred culture. People felt in control of their own care, listened to and their opinions valued. There was strong leadership and staff at all levels followed the ethos of the service. The provider ensured people were equal partners in their care and supported them to experience and achieve positive outcomes. The provider’s governance systems ensured high-quality care was delivered and people received safe care and treatment.”
Managing Director, Cherry Adams said: “We are delighted to have achieved our first ‘Outstanding’ rating and we are now part of only a select few in the region to achieve this. At CLCA, our purpose from our outset was to ‘To make life better for the people in our care’ and we have instilled our values to make sure that we provide the highest quality possible and to see this recognised is fantastic.
“We have been on an amazing journey since the Company started in 2012 and we are incredibly proud to have supported each and every one of our clients throughout the years. We treat our clients like family and our holistic approach to care aims to meet their physical, mental and social needs.
“We actively encourage our clients to take up or return to activities and by providing safe and effective care we can fully promote their independence and work towards their goals.
“Our success is down to our dedicated and hard-working staff and we would like to thank them for their continued efforts.”
The inspection further found that people were supported by well-trained staff. People were supported to maintain good health and had access to healthcare services. Staff worked with a range of health professionals to ensure they knew and could support people’s care needs and found that “people benefitted from the provider’s good working relationships with other professionals. This included people’s GPs, dieticians, the local Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCG) and specialist nurses and clinicians.”
Registered Manager, Paul Maybury said of the inspection: “As Clinical Manager and Registered CQC Manager for CLCA Nursing I couldn’t be prouder of the Outstanding rating we have achieved. It really just goes to shows what I’ve learned myself, having only joined the company a little over a year ago, that everyone from top to bottom and office to field here at CLCA strives to achieve the very best not only for our clients but for themselves and each other. Their compassion, their professionalism and the dedication in supporting the client with everything they do is simply humbling at times.
“Such news couldn’t come at a better time when everything else seems to be doom and gloom and Coronavirus. We have really achieved something special, something for all of us to be very proud of but we won’t for a second be resting on our laurels. Our clients have already benefitted hugely from our input but we’re looking to see how else we could be having an even more positive impact on their lives, there’s always more that can be done and striving to do that is always going to be our goal.”
CLCA aims to provide a smooth transition when taking on clients, be it an established or new package. Our thorough approach to care is engrained in the Company ethos and we will always aim to provide the highest quality of bespoke care to our clients.
